Why do we serve?
"Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can." -- John Wesley
We believe that God has uniquely gifted each one of us with a purpose and role for serving others that he has called us to fulfill. At First Methodist Mansfield, we offer opportunities for everyone to find a place to love and serve others through our various ministry areas.
- View Current Opportunities - Find what you're most interested in by viewing our list of specific volunteer opportunities. There are listings and descriptions for each ministry areas, as well as contact information.
- Complete a Volunteer Application - Download a Volunteer Application. Return completed applications to any connecting point outside our worship spaces before or after any weekend worship service, or bring it to the church office in Building C, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Attend Serving at First - All volunteers who serve through First Methodist and on mission trips are required to attend Serving at First training which prepares you to serve, teaches our church's mission regarding spiritual leadership, and provides Safe Sanctuary training. Classes are offered monthly.
