Dr. Scott Ferrell | Traditional Worship Arts Director |
Dr. Scott Ferrell has served as our Worship Arts Director for 10 years. In 2000, he received his Doctorate in Music from the University of Texas. Scott has received national recognition for his work in musical theater, opera, and oratorio, but has shared that nothing is more thrilling than leading others in praising our glorious God. Scott and his wife, Cheryl, have two kids; Katie and Aidan.

Stephanie Gow has served on staff at First United Methodist Church for more than 4 years. Stephanie leads our NineThirty worship team and is also a singer/songwriter for the Magnolia Rose Band. Stephanie and her husband, Brian, have three children, Trent, Chandler, and Joley.
Jason Nix | Saturday Worship Leader |
Jason Nix has been in music ministry for 7 years and has served at First Methodist Mansfield for over three years. Jason currently serves as the worship leader of the Saturday Night worship service. He also writes for the Saturday Night worship team. Jason and his wife, Jamie, were married in August 2009.
Doug Peak | "The Well" Worship Leader |
Doug Peak has been in music ministry for nine years and has served on staff at First United Methodist Church for a total of four years. Doug leads the worship team for "The Well" and is also a musician/songwriter for the Magnolia Rose Band. Doug and his wife, Betsy, have 2 children, Emily and Natalie.

Karen McGough is a graduate of Texas Christian University where she majored in Interior Design and minored in Interior Electrical Lighting. Since joining First Methodist Mansfield in 2003, Karen’s praise and worship experience have included singing with the NineThirty Praise Band, in addition to being a singer and songwriter for Magnolia Rose Band. A native Texan, Karen is married to Eddie and they have three children, Max, Josh, and Anna.

Josh Nix has been in music ministry for 5 years. For the past two years, he has been leading worship for the youth at First Methodist Mansfield. He has also been with the NineThirty Worship team since January of 2008. Joshua also writes for the Youth and the NineThirty band.

Beth LaMee has been the Director of Bell and Chime Ministries at FUMC Mansfield since August of 2007. She is also the Director of AIM and also fills in, during Scott's absence, for the Chancel Choir. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music at Averett University and her Masters of Church Music in Music Ministry in May 2007 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, Bobby and kitty, Frodo.
Sondra Robertson | Staff Accompanist|
Sondra "Sonny" Robertson has served as TWA Assistant Director and staff organist since March, 2007. She earned a bachelors' in organ from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro and a Masters' in organ from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Steve, live outside of Waxahachie, where Sondra keeps her 2 dressage show horses.

Kathleen Phillips serves as Traditional Worship Arts Administrative Assistant and Accompanist. She has been active in our church for 13 years along with her husband, Alan, and their three children Sarah, Luke, and Aaron.
