We know that children in their elementary years are still tuned into their parents, but are beginning to enjoy peer relationships as well. So we structure our classes in such a way that allows groups of children and their families to continue on their faith journey together year after year. We offer classes at most service times and each one is different to allow for individual preferences. Let's face it, if a 3rd grader doesn't enjoy coming to church, it can prevent the whole family from coming. We use engaging, fun curriculum with a strong, yet simple message each week. Our volunteers serve as mentors and lead the children in becoming Spiritual Champions who can serve, worship, pray, and tell others about Jesus.
Saturday Evening, 6:00 p.m. and Sunday evening, 5:00 p.m.
1st - 4th Graders attend G-Force, a worship service just for kids, in The Zone, located in the A&E building. A group of volunteers will engage the children with video, music, games, Bible story and a message. The kids love it!
Sunday Morning, 9:30 AM
We know that engaging elementary age children is often a challenge in our technologically savvy culture. So our 9:30 program for 1st-4th is a rotation workshop model called "Bible Digs." The children study a theme each month by moving from class to class to experience many different aspects of the Bible story. Children may learn through cooking, art, video, news media, computers, music and games. This method appeals to different learning styles and brings the Bible message to life. Look for the "Bible Digs" display to see which adventure your child's class will experience that day.
Sunday Morning, 11:00 a.m.
Many children today never attend worship with their parents, so we created G-Force - a worship service just for kids. A group of volunteers will engage the children with video, music, games, a Bible story and a message. They participate and learn about worship elements such as prayer, offering, and scripture reading. It's active, engaging and the children learn to live out their faith with God's force in their corner! It is a great alternative or addition to the more traditional Sunday School format.
