At First Methodist Mansfield our pastoral team leads our Marriage Ministry.  We believe that the first marriage of Adam and Eve was instituted by God.  “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24).  Also, when He is at the center of our marriage, it is God who blesses our marriage.  Through His mercy and grace, God offers hope to marriages that are struggling.

How often we seem to forget that healthy families begin with strong marriages.  Marriage is a gift from God.  Genesis 2:18 states, “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”  As the foundation for the family unit, our aim must be to strengthen marriages to be used as a tool for ministry.  Partners in a solid marriage foundation have unlimited potential to mentor and bless others.  Honesty, communication, sacrifice, and spiritual growth are key ingredients for a stable marriage.
