Johnny has been involved in Student Ministry for over 8 years. He has served as a camp counselor, worship leader, High School Ministry leader and now, the Director of Student Ministries. He is engaged to the love of his life, Holly. Some of his favorite things are coffee, Jamba Juice, fantasy football and The Office.

Mel Strom | Junior High Director | x149

Mel is an experienced leader with a passion for Junior High students and mission. She is a graduate of TCU and currently enrolled in Brite Divinity School. We are thrilled to have Mel and Matt (her husband) joining us in ministry here at First Mansfield Students.

Lindsey Brower | Student Ministries Executive Assistant | x147

Lindsey is the newest member to our staff, but isn't unfamiliar to our ministry. She was an intern for us a few years ago. Now she is back in a full time role and is ready to rock. If you have any questions about anything, she's your girl.

Beth LaMee | Youth Choir Director | x229

Beth has been leading our youth choir since January of 2008. She also is the Assistant Director of Music for the overall church, the Director of Bell and Chime Ministries, and teaches group piano for AIM. WOW! She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music at Averett University and her Masters of Church Music in Music Ministry in May 2007 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Double WOW! Basically, if you are looking to sing, it's good to be on her team!

Josh Nix | Student Ministries Worship Leader

Josh Nix has been in music ministry for 5 years. For the past two years he has been leading worship for the youth at First Methodist Mansfield. He also has been with the NineThirty Worship team since January of 2008. Joshua also writes for the Youth and the NineThirty band.

Jason has been leading worship for several years now, not only for our FUEL youth band but also the Saturday night service. He also loves teaching guitar lessons for AIM during the week. He sings like an angel and is the pretty much the general purveyor of all things awesome.

Katie Gardner| Student Ministries Intern
Katie is a former youth who is now back to intern with us. You will see her face around at all of our events. She is great at almost everything and is super fun to be around. We are so glad to have her here.
