Redefined Beyond MeWho has God created me to be? Too many of us - young and old - feel unloved and worthless. Too many of us feel like life on earth is hell to be endured until we experience heaven when our time here is complete.
But God tells us something completely different. God expects only great things for our lives, loves us unconditionally and stands forever at our sides. And God created the world with the same expectation - that our lives on earth should be fulfilling.
As Christians, ...

WATER AND LIGHT.Two of nature’s most essential elements for life. God uses each in our creation, nourishment and growth. But it doesn’t stop with our physical well-being. God gave us Christ to be the living water to our thirsty souls and the light that illuminates our hearts! This summer, the youth and adults of the Central Texas Conference Youth in Mission (CTCYM) will follow Christ’s example by becoming his water and his light in a parched and unseeing world. We will ...

I wanted to share this story from Jennifer Potts, one of our Sunday School teachers.
Thank you for your part in supporting the creation of an 11:00 Sunday school hour for Jr. & Sr. High students. This past Sunday my husband and I escorted THIRTEEN students to Wal-Mart where they had a blast picking out the clothing and toy items for the Angel Tree child they chose. It was their idea to participate in the Angel Tree program and they ended up collecting $116 over the past few ...

Here at First Mansfield Students, we try to build our ministry around a simple idea:
Building a community to honor God and serve the world.
We believe that God designed us for community...to share life together...to be connected to one another in life changing relationships. Our hope is that students will form a strong and lasting connection with God and one another. We believe that the way Jesus taught us to live is the best way to live, and as we strengthen those relationships, we begin to ...

THEN..."In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims. After returning to the States, they created the documentary "Invisible Children: Rough Cut," a film that exposes the tragic realities of northern Uganda's night ...

Last Sunday (August 24th) was awesome!!
It was our first (hopefully annual) Back-To-School Concert Special. I've always dreamed of throwing a big party for our students before they go back to school. I even tried one year (remember when PlayRadioPlay almost did a back-to-school concert for us?). But this year was a success -- and it was even BIGGER than I could have imagined.
First, my band, The Roustabouts, got to play. We were so excited because most of the students ...

The time is drawing near! High School mission trip is here!
Wow! That rhymes. I should write a song.
Anyway...
I hope you all are as excited as I am. This is one of the highlights of my year. CTCYM mission trip is great opportunity for students and adults to come together with one thing in common: love for our neighbors. As we prepare to embark on our journey to Russellville, Arkansas, let's remember to take a look at our hearts, and our luggage.
Check out this page at the CTCYM ...
