Welcome to Sports and Recreation here at First Church.  Our goal is to offer sports, recreation and leisure activities that promote fellowship, friendship, discipleship and healthy living.

Softball Teams

FUMC currently has men's and co-ed teams playing at Big League Dreams in Mansfield and Harold Patterson in Arlington during the spring, summer and fall seasons on various nights. For more information contact . Everyone 16 years and older are welcome to play.

Open Golf

Every Thursday of the month, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Men and women are welcome to join Open Golf, our weekly golf game on Thursdays!  The $16 fee (per player) includes greens fee and cart with GPS for nine-hole round (or more if you start early), plus $1 off any meal item at the grill! Must be 18 or older to play.

Men's Basketball

Every Sunday of the month, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

If you like to shoot hoops, join Men's Basketball every Sunday for bible study and a friendly game of hoops in the A&E Gym, but don't be late! We have a strict "no pray, no play" policy.

Women's Tap class

Every Wednesday of the month, 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM.

Dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome to come and rejoice together in our Women's Tap class in A&E 113. This is a fun class for beginners!  Led by Brenda Jobe.  

United Methodist Motorcycle Enthusiasts Ride

Every Thursday, 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM, from 09/04/2008 to 08/27/2009

The United Methodist Motorcycle Enthusiasts are motorcycle riders who have formed chapters within their home church, to promote the fellowship of Christians through a common interest. UMME gives Christian riders the fellowship and the safe riding experience that so many are looking for. Our weekly rides are every Thursday, weather permitting.
