The purpose of Adult Discipleship at First Methodist Mansfield is reaching people for Christ through formation of holiness of heart and life.

God invites all who love Him into Holy Communion (fellowship) with Him. In this Holy fellowship we are shaped and molded into a better and more beautiful resemblance of Christ. There are various degrees of faith and people grow in their own time as they are awakened by and respond to God’s grace. We, at First Methodist Mansfield, want to nurture your formation and help guide you to reach full fellowship with God.  

We define Faith Formation as:

• Invitation to Fellowship: Gaining Christian Belief & Practice (learn)
• Deepening Fellowship: Clarifying Christian Belief & Practice (live)
• Full Fellowship: Extending Christian Belief & Practice (share)  

We hope that you will find opportunities to grow as a Christian in a variety of ways and that you will deepen that relationship through your involvement and interaction with other Christians in some of the many fellowship opportunities we have to offer.
