Autism Support Group (ASAP)

Autism Spectrum Association of Parents (ASAP) is a Autism Support group whose goals are to focus on early intervention, education, advocacy and support to family, friends, and educators. We do this by hosting monthly meetings, guest speakers, playgroups, on line support group, and offering resources. We feel that educating ourselves and others through support is the key to bring awareness and understanding to Autism Spectrum Disorders. Route 56 (5th/6th grade fellowship)

Route 56 is our mid-week program designed to provide an opportunity for fellowship and connection with peers and mentors. We provide a safe place for 5th and 6th graders to interact with Christian friends in a fun and exciting environment. Along with fellowship, we will share a short devotion and prayer time each week. We have a great team of youth and adults who mentor and work with these students each week of the school year. If you have questions, please e-mail , our 5th & 6th grade coordinator.
Faith Builder Coach Camp

Faith Builder Coach Camp is required training for Faith Builder Volunteers led by Executive Pastor, Sharon Reid and Stephanie Keeney, Evangelism Ministries Coordinator. Faith Builder Volunteers are those who serve in a leadership position within the church, and/or who work with children, youth or vulnerable adults. During this training, volunteers will be empowered to be "Coaches for Christ" by recognizing their position as spiritual leaders, seeing the vision and beliefs of our church, and working to preserve First Methodist Mansfield as a holy place of safety and protection. This training also covers our church's Safe Sanctuary Policy and Procedures. We will meet in room M-109. For more information, please contact .

Easter Egg Hunt

Don't miss our Easter Egg Hunt at Katherine Rose Park! This will be a fun event for the whole family. Pastor Mike will share the Easter story and the children of PRAIZE will lead us in a short worship service with singing and dancing at 5 p.m.
We will have a toddler and preschool egg hunt followed by the school age hunt after the worship service. Bring a basket for egg hunting and chairs or blankets to enjoy the park. We will have hot dogs and cookies available for dinner.
We will provide a shuttle to and from the church for extra parking starting 4:15 p.m. If you want to help, please donate FILLED plastic eggs (no peanut products) by Friday, March 26. You can leave them in marked boxes in all three buildings on campus.

PRAIZE

Join us for worship arts for kids ages 4 to 6th grade. This session we are offering
- Prek & Kindergarten (4 years old by Sept. 1) - We will sing, dance, play simple instruments, listen to a Bible story and have a craft project.

- Cooking
- Dance
- Praize 5.6 for those in 5th and 6th grade (Chimes & Art)
Classes will meet on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Praize 5.6 will meet from 6:00-6:30 p.m. so they can also participate in Route 56. Safe Sitter Babysitting Class

Safe Sitter is a medically accurate babysitting preparation program designed for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. The nationally recognized program teaches sitters how to have fun with children as well as how to recognize a medical emergency and know the appropriate action to take. Students learn how to handle specific ages, prevent problem behavior, and the business of babysitting. Space is limited to 16 participants, so register early. For more information contact .

Confirmation Commitment Service

Join us in the Sanctuary as our 2009 Confirmation class becomes members of our church. Confirmation is a joint effort between our Children's and Student Ministries that teaches our 6th graders (and some older) about the Methodist and Christian heritage and how to take ownership of their faith as individuals.
