Military Outreach

>> Programs & Ministries, Care Ministry, Military Outreach

During times of deployment for our soldiers, families and friends are often left to endure the task of supporting their loved ones without realizing that they, too, need support. Through our Military Outreach Ministry, our commitment is to not only support our soldiers but to offer assistance to their families and friends.  By our prayers, supplies, cards, letters or a simple hug, our military outreach program offers loving and caring comfort.  If you are interested in helping with our military outreach program or would like to make our Care Ministries aware of an upcoming deployment, please email Debbie Black, Care Ministries Coordinator, or call the church office at (817) 477-2287, X-162.

Prayer

We want to keep your son, daughter, grandchild, or friend that is serving in the Military in our thoughts and prayers. If you have a loved one serving in the military overseas, please send their name and address to Debbie Black, Care Ministries Coordinator, so that we may add them to our card and care package list.

Welcome Home Soldiers

Every day, more than 100 soldiers pass through DFW Airport on their way home for two weeks of well-deserved rest and recuperation (R&R).  DFW is one of only two hubs that ALL service personal arrive at before connecting to flights home.  Join us to honor them and their families the 4th Monday of each month.  The time of day varies and rides are available.  If you are interested in joining us, contact Debbie Black, Care Ministries Coordinator.

If you are interested in helping with care packages and cards to those serving our country, or want to help decide how our church can support service people and their families, please contact Joan Cain who facilitates our Military Outreach Ministry .

Cell Phone Recycling

Recycle your old cell phone into a phone card for a service member. Pick up a pre-paid envelope in the main building.

Military Family Support and Assistance

If you have or know of a family that has a loved one serving and are in need of basic household help, please contact Debbie Black, Care Ministries Coordinator.
