Easter Lily and Mum Sales

Help support United Methodist Women through their annual Easter Lily and Mum sale. Easter Lilies or Easter Mums can be purchased online or at Connection Central begining March 13 to honor or memorialize a loved ones. The flowers will adorn the Sanctuary during Easter services and may be picked up after the Easter services you attend.

Faith Builder Coach Camp

Faith Builder Coach Camp is required training for Faith Builder Volunteers led by Executive Pastor, Sharon Reid and Stephanie Keeney, Evangelism Ministries Coordinator. Faith Builder Volunteers are those who serve in a leadership position within the church, and/or who work with children, youth or vulnerable adults. During this training, volunteers will be empowered to be "Coaches for Christ" by recognizing their position as spiritual leaders, seeing the vision and beliefs of our church, and working to preserve First Methodist Mansfield as a holy place of safety and protection. Son Run 5K and 1 mile Family Fun Run

Thank you for joining us for the 2nd annual Mansfield Son Run 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run. This event was conceived through the efforts of members of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield to provide a fun fitness activity and as a fundraiser for Stop Hunger Now. Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world.
Event Details
Both events will begin and end in the First United Methodist Mansfield parking lot near The Wesley Mission Center. The 5K will proceed through area streets and Rose Park and return to the church. The 1 Mile will be two laps around the church parking lot.
Race times:
- 9 a.m. - 5K Son Run
- 10:15 a.m. - 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Entry Fees
- Adults: $20 before March 28 and $25 after that
- Under 12: $15 before March 28 and $20 after that
- Teams of 6 or more (must submit registration forms together): $18 for adults and $13 for those under 12.
Each early registration includes an event shirt. Late or race day registration will receive shirts as available. Registration includes eligibility for both races, but awards will only be presented in the 5K.
Awards and Age Groups
The 5K will be a timed event with awards given to the overall male and female winners and to the top finishers in each age group:
- Children ages 0-9
- Youth ages 10-15
- Adults ages 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 70+
Post Run Activities
The awards ceremony will be held immediately following the completion of the 1 Mile Fun Run. Then stick around for activities and fellowship with runners.

Scripture Reading Workshop

Do you want to become a scripture reader at the Sunday morning 8:15 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. service? Do you already ready scripture but would like to enhance your technique or delivery? Then, the Scripture Reading Workshop may be helpful to you. Two opportunities are available to attend a workshop to help you communicate the passion you feel for scripture. You will also learn helpful tips to enhance your techniques for reading, and there will also be an opportunity for you to read and receive feedback. The workshop will be taught by Linda Short, our new trainer and mentor to readers. Workshops will be held in the Sanctuary on Saturday, April 24 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. or Sunday, April 25 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. To register for the workshop and get additional information, please contact .
Spring Golf Tournament

All are welcome to play in the annual Spring Golf Tournament This event is open to both men and women. Breakfast tacos will be provided before tee off and a hamburger buffet will be provided after play for lunch. Proceeds from this event will benefit Stop the Hunger Now.
