Wesley Mission Center Management

Teresa Washington | Wesley Mission Center Director | Teresa Washington is the Director of the Wesley  Mission  Center. Her responsibilities include managing the daily operations of all three Critical Service Areas (C.A.R.E.  Center, Food Pantry and Thrift Store). With the assistance of  ten dedicated staff members,  a nine-member Advisory Board, and over two hundred volunteers, the needs of local families living in crisis are being met through this ministry and its supporters that have been serving the community for over 30 years.

Terry Gilbert  | Wesley Mission Center Associate | 
Terry is the Administrator for the Wesley  Mission  Center. She is an assistant to the Director and provides client care support for the C.A.R.E.Center Counselor and Coordinator. She also provides administrative support to the Thrift Store and acts as an administrative liaison between the Wesley  Mission  Center and the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield.

C.A.R.E. (Counseling, Assistance, Resources, Empathy) Center Staff

Gerri Duren | WMC Intake & Admin. Asst. |  
Gerri is the C.A.R.E. Center Coordinator assisting in the oversight of the Wesley  Mission Center’s  client’s appointments, intake and files. She assists all on site staff and daily volunteers through her front/back office administrative support.

Rosie Bailey |C.A.R.E. Counselor |
Rosie is a C.A.R.E. Counselor that meets with clients to help them light a path to self- sufficiency through financial, emotional and spiritual support. She also maintains the daily assistance program data.

Malissa Melton-Otunba | C.A.R.E. Counselor |
Malissa is a C.A.R.E. Counselor that meets with clients to help them light a path to self- sufficiency through financial, emotional and spiritual support. She also develops and maintains the free community programs that aid clients in their development (i.e. Job Program, Robin’s Wings, and Budget Classes)

Thrift Store Staff

Ursula McKernon | Thrift Store Manager |
Ursula is the Manager of the Thrift Store that assists local families in crisis through the sale of donated goods.  Before becoming the manager, she was a volunteer for several years and now works with hundreds of volunteers to carry out the day to day operations of the Thrift Store.

Elsa Ruckle | Thrift Store Asst. Manager | 
Elsa is the Assistant Manager of the Thrift Store, serving as support staff to the manager in its the day to day operations. She assists in supervising, recruiting and empowering this part of the ministry that is primarily volunteer-led.

Deborah Taylor| Thrift Store Associate
Deborah is the Thrift Store Associate in charge of the evening shift Tuesday thru Saturday. She supervises volunteers and interacts with customers and donors which is vital to the livelihood of the ministry.

Diana Perez |  Thrift Store Associate PRN & Custodian
Diana is the Thrift Store Associate in charge of supervising the Monday evening shift. She supervises volunteers and interacts with customers and donors as an on call (PRN) staff person as well. She also serves as part of the ministry’s custodial staff.

Juan Perez | Custodian
Juan is one of our dedicated Custodians that oversees the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.

Lupe Hernandez | Thrift Store Associate
Lupe is a weekend Thrift Store Associate in charge of the receiving area donations

Volunteer Ministry Leaders

Terry Twomey, is the Chair of the Wesley  Mission  Center’s Advisory Board. This nine-member team meets monthly to review and discuss goals and outcomes of the ministry as it seeks to serve those living in crisis.

Jackie Stover is the Wesley  Mission  Center’s Volunteer Coordinator, in charge of the Volunteer Committee. She is a volunteer and has served the ministry for over six years. She ensures that orientations are available for new volunteers and makes sure volunteers receive a welcome.

Winn Hatt is the Wesley  Mission  Center’s Food Pantry Coordinator, in charge of maintaining the Food Pantry, its content and engaging the community partners through Food Drives. He is supported by a growing Food Pantry team and an Assistant Coordinator, Terry Twomey.
