Are you ready to start serving at First Methodist Mansfield? Here's how to get started:

Step One: View Current Opportunities

Find out what you're most interested in by viewing our list of specific volunteer opportunities. You will find listings and descriptions online for each ministry area, as well as contact information.

Step Two: Discover Your Spiritual Gifts

No one is without spiritual gifts. In the New Testament, twenty distinct spiritual gifts are identified, as given through the Holy Spirit. Learn more about these spiritual gifts, and discover your own, by taking our introductory online Spiritual Gifts Assessment.

Step Three: Complete a Volunteer Application

To begin serving at First Methodist Mansfield, we ask each volunteer to complete a Volunteer Application. Applications may be found online or around the church campus and will allow you to indicate your interests and gifts. Please return completed applications to Connection Central before or after any weekend worship service, or to the church offices in the Main Building, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Step Four:  Attend Serving at First 

All volunteers who serve within the church and on mission trips are required to attend Serving at First training to learn more about what it means to be a "Champion for Christ", as well as our church's Safe Sanctuary Policy and Procedures. Classes are offered monthly. Registration is available online or at Connection Central before or after any weekend worship service.

Serving Consultation Appointment
Still unsure where you are called to serve? Make an appointment for a serving consultation. During these consultations, we can assess your spiritual gifts and discuss volunteer opportunities within the church where you can put your gifts into action.  To schedule an appointment, please contact .
