Mission Center Volunteer Orientation

Daily from 01/09/2010 to 03/19/2010

This orientation is provided for people that would like to volunteer at the Wesley Mission Center in the Thrift Store, Food Pantry or in the CARE Center and its Special Programs. Orientation will take place in the Wesley Mission Center. New volunteers will be given a tour, provided with all of their volunteer options and take time to determine their spiritual gifts. Please register for the date you would like to attend orientation at least 24 hours in advance to let us know you are coming.

Employment 101

This event is a network gathering for those who are unemployed or employed and actively seeking employment. Employment 101 is scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at the C.A.R.E Center. Volunteers leading the meetings are experienced in the human resources field, and will present tips on engaging in the flawless job search strategy. Attendees will receive packets with information presented at the gathering. Door prizes that will enhance the job search are also available at the meeting. Wesley Mission Center Computer Classes

Thursday, March 11, 2010, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

This computer class helps Wesley Mission Center clients to improve their skills to enhance their marketability. The class teaches clients basic computer skills, typing skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and the Internet. It is offered the Second Thursday of each month in the computer lab in the Wesley Mission Center. You can register for classes online.

Legal Clinic

Second Thursday of the month, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

As a public service through the Wesley Mission Center, the law offices of Landrith & Kulesz, L.L.P. are offering a free legal clinic every month at the Wesley Mission Center. Those in the Mansfield community have the opportunity to meet with an attorney or legal staff member on non-criminal matters at no charge. Consultation is by appointment only. Kairos Cookies

Help support our Kairos Prison Ministry by baking cookies. Guidelines and a recipe for cookies are available online and at Connection Central. Please drop you cookies off in the Gallery the weekend of March 13/14 before or after worship.

If you would like to donate money or pray for this important ministry, please stop by Connection Central to learn more about other ways you can help. If you would like to participate in the Closing Ceremony you must sign up by March 2. The Closing Ceremony is a two-hour ceremony that has been described as "a front row seat to see a miracle and God changing lives."

GRACE Homeless Ministry

Second Saturday of the month, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Everyone is invited and encouraged to help with the G.R.A.C.E. (Giving Respect And Compassion Everywhere) Homeless Ministries each month as our church prepares and delivers lunch and fellowships with the homeless in Fort Worth’s Unity Park .
