Part of what makes First Methodist Mansfield unique and highly valued is that within our one church family, we have four distinct worship communities.
Below you will find more information about each of these communities as well as the locations and times they gather each week.
Thursday at 6:30pm in the Chapel
Our Celebrate Recovery worshipping community gathers on Thursday nights at 6:30pm in our Chapel. Celebrate Recovery was born out of our belief that “everyone is recovering from something” and is modeled off of other traditional 12 step programs. This one-hour worship experience is a celebration of God’s healing power in our lives. Our children’s program, Celebration Place, as well as The Landing, for 7th - 12th graders are also offered during this same time. Those attending are also invited to participate in open share groups, which meet following the time of worship. Pastor Caesar Rentie serves as the lead pastor for our Celebrate Recovery worship community.
Sundays at 8:15am & 11:00am in the Sanctuary
Traditions is our worshiping community that gathers twice each week at 8:15 am and 11 am in our main sanctuary. Surrounded by the beautiful architecture and stained glass windows within this inspirational worship space, these services are led by our Chancel Choir under the direction of Dr. Scott Ferrell and accompanied by our magnificent pipe organ and orchestra. Senior Pastor David Alexander serves as the lead pastor for our Traditions community. We offer The Hearing Loop system at these services in our Sanctuary.
Saturday at 6:00pm and Sunday at 9:30am in the Sanctuary | The Cornerstone Café at 11:00am in The Loft
Our Cornerstone worship community also offers three gatherings each week including Saturday Night at 6 pm, Sunday morning at 9:30 am, and Sunday morning at 11:00 am. Saturday and the 9:30 am Sunday worship— take place in our main Sanctuary. The Cornerstone Café service takes place upstairs in The Loft in our A Building. Our Cornerstone services feature modern music and some of our largest gatherings each weekend led by our modern worship bands. At our Saturday night gathering, holy communion is shared each week. Senior Pastor David Alexander serves as the lead pastor for our Cornerstone community. We offer The Hearing Loop system at the services in our Sanctuary.
Sundays at 11:00am in the Chapel
The Well is a worship community which meets on Sunday morning at 11 am in the Chapel. The Chapel features a more intimate environment with its own unique style of modern worship music. While all of our services are open to individuals of all ages, our Well community is specifically designed to be a place where emerging generations feel right at home. Pastor Shea Reyenga brings the sermon message to The Well service.
