Part of what makes First Methodist Mansfield unique and we highly value is that within our one church family we have four distinct worship communities.
Below you will find more information about each of these communities as well as the locations and times they gather each week.
Thursday at 6:30pm in the Chapel
Our Celebrate Recovery worshipping community gathers on Thursday nights at 6:30pm in our Chapel. Celebrate Recovery was born out of our belief that “everyone is recovering fromsomething” and is modeled off of other traditional 12 step programs. This one hour worship experience is a celebration of God’s healing power in our lives. Our children’s program, Celebration Station, as well as The Landing, for 7th - 12th graders are also offered during this same time. Those attending are also invited to participate in open share groups, which meet following the time of worship. Pastor Caesar Rentie serves as the lead pastor for our Celebrate Recovery worship community.
Sundays at 8:15am & 11:00am in the Sanctuary
Traditions is our worshipping community that gathers twice each week at 8:15 am and 11 am in our main sanctuary. Surrounded by the beautiful architecture and stained glass windows within this beautiful worship space, these services are led by our Chancel Choir under the direction of Dr. Scott Ferrell and accompanied by our magnificent pipe organ and orchestra. Senior Pastor David Alexander serves as the lead pastor for our Traditions community.
Saturday at 6:00pm & Sunday at 9:30am in the Sanctuary
Our Cornerstone worship community also offers two gatherings each week including Saturday Night at 6 pm and Sunday morning at 9:30 am. Both of these take place in our main sanctuary and are led by Holly Brower. Our Cornerstone services feature modern music and are our two largest gatherings each weekend led by our modern worship bands. At our Saturday night gathering, holy communion is shared each week. Senior Pastor David Alexander serves as the lead pastor for our Cornerstone community.
Sundays at 11:00am in the Chapel & the Loft
The Well is a worship community which meets on Sunday morning at 11 am in two locations on our church campus. The Well meets in our Chapel and The Well Cafe takes place in the Loft. Both of these smaller venues feature a more intimate environment with their own unique style of modern worship music led by Holly Brower in the Chapel and Dylan Peacock in the Loft. While all of our services are open to individuals of all ages, our Well community is specifically designed to be a place where emerging generations feel right at home. Pastor Johnny Brower serves as the lead pastor for The Well Community. The message is shared live each week in our Chapel space and broadcast in real time to the Loft.
