Have you noticed any changes in Children's Ministry lately? We've been working to "up the excellence" for awhile now, and I hope you are noticing. Some of our changes have been in staffing, supplies and prep work before the service. We are trying to provide all that our volunteers might need so they are well-equipped and prepared to lead our children in their classes. Other changes have been a more focused curriculum with simple messages and transferable information.

We are striving to address your concerns as parents with weekly devotions and advice, as well as parenting classes that will be coming later in the year.

On the surface, you may have noticed small upgrades to our facilities. We added professional looking info boards in the children's building and are trying to keep all signage looking clean and crisp. There will be other small improvements made in the near future, including posters of our very own children doing what they do at church. I can't wait to walk down the halls and see their smiling faces plastered on the walls!

Another big change you may have noticed are the computer stations at the information desk of our building. We have been working for a while to have an electronic check-in system for our children, and we are finally there. The rest of the stations will be installed this week, and we will begin entering family pictures and fingerprints on April 25 & 26. Parents will be able to scan their fingerprint and push a few buttons on the screen to check their children in each week. This system will improve security and eliminate a lot of paper tracking we are doing currently.

All that we do in Children's Ministry is geared toward drawing the children closer to Christ. We want them to have a "best friend" relationship with Jesus so that they cannot imagine life without Him as they get older.
