We have two more weeks of the Talking With God Superseries! To learn more about our Superseries and get connected to a small group— please visit our website.

Mission Trip Deadlines
Application deadlines are fast approaching for serving opportunities on two mission trips. On November 3-4, 2017, the Granbury Mission Trip will continue recovery efforts with the Hood County floods; deadline for applications is October 13. On March 12-16, 2018, a Mexico Mission Trip is planned to address medical and construction needs with a deadline of November 16. Visit the website to register and contact Barbara Kesner for required paperwork and pre-trip information.

Acolyte Training
12:30 PM • OCTOBER 15 • A 107
Is your child interested in serving as an acolyte? Join us for an informational meeting and training session for children (2nd grade and older) interested in serving as an acolyte or wishing to continue volunteering. Acolytes participate in the 11 am Traditions Service and this is an easy way to get your child involved in serving. We will also provide a pizza lunch for all those that attend. Please RSVP your attendance to Donnette Plumlee.

Serving @ First
5 PM • OCTOBER 15 • C 9  / 10 AM • OCTOBER 17 • C 9
Are you being called to take the next step to serve within the church? We invite you to join us for one of the next sessions of Serving @ First. This one-hour class prepares you to serve, teaches the basics of our church's mission, guidance for spiritual leadership, and provides Safe Sanctuary training. Following the class, those seeking a place to serve will receive guidance for next steps. You may register for either the Sunday, October 15 or the Tuesday, October 17 class on our website.

Caregivers Support Group
Family caregivers are challenged with increasing demands on time and responsibility when caring for loved ones. The Caregivers Support Group offers emotional support and a place to share ideas and problem solve with others in the same season of life. For more information on the Caregivers Support Group and to view other support groups offered by First Methodist Mansfield, visit the website or email Debbie Black for more information.

Starting Point
Starting Point is a casual and relaxed gathering led by our Senior Pastor, David Alexander. All guests interested in joining our church are invited to learn more about our church, our mission, and what we believe. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet our pastors and members of our staff to ask questions. Childcare is available. To register your attendance, visit the website.

First Methodist Mansfield is a church dedicated to loving God, loving others and serving the world. We would love for you to join us for worship this coming weekend. For all worship opportunities and ways to get connected, please visit our website.
