A Note From Shea

A Note From Shea

Dear First Family,

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! Please keep Pastors David and Tina and the group overseas on the Journeys of Paul trip in your prayers. I am looking forward to bringing you the message this weekend as we continue our Homecoming sermon series.

Today, I want to tell you about three important opportunities coming up.

Registration for Confirmation 2019 is now open for all students 6th grade and older! Join us for this important 10-week journey beginning February 3rd. Students will be given the opportunity to grow in their faith through worship, small groups, and mission projects. All of these things work together to help them take ownership of their own faith journey and become full members of the church. For more information and to register please click here.  For questions, please contact Student Ministries Director, Andrew Hudson.

For the month of October, Children's Ministry and Serving & Outreach are teaming up for a special offering. We will be collecting Amazon gift cards and monetary gifts that will go to purchasing new Bibles for each Angel Tree child this year. You may drop donations off in the Children's Foyer October 1-31st. For more information, contact Andrea Roberts or Vicky Hale.

Father and Son Connection will host an event at Pure Adventure Ranch for Fathers and Sons. We will have an event for Dads with sons age 10-12 and an event for Dads with sons that are 13+. Join us for a full day of paintball, skeet shooting, archery, and other activities. Registration is $100 and includes lunch for one father and son. It is $25 for any additional sons. Please register here.

Each of these opportunities expresses our mission to love God, love others, and serve the world. Even though I have not been here long, it is evident that First Methodist Mansfield takes this mission seriously. I am thrilled to partner with you as we continue to grow and live out our mission.

I look forward to seeing you in worship for week 4 of our Homecoming series!

Grace & Peace in Christ,

Pastor Shea
