A Note From Pastor Tinaby Pastor Tina Schramme
While Pastor David is out, I have the honor of writing this weekly e-note. I hope you all are enjoying this cooler weather! I know “cooler” is relative, but I am grateful for a little rain and a slight breeze.
This week at FMCM is as busy as ever. We have support groups, Bible studies, worship services, social gatherings, outreach and service projects, just to name a few! I love that our church provides a place of respite, care, and growth for people in our community.
I do want to highlight a few things this coming week and weekend.
First, with school starting in a few weeks, we are celebrating our incoming 6th graders as they officially move out of Children’s Ministry and under the care of our Student Ministry team. Students in this age bracket and their families are invited to join us for our 5th grade Farewell Fiesta this Sunday, August 5th at 5:00 pm in the Gym! Our Children's and Student Ministry teams will come together to send our 5th graders off to middle school ministry in style! Come celebrate with us over dinner as you learn all that is coming for your incoming 6th grader in student ministry. For more information and to register, visit our website!
Do you have a young adult in your life that would like to go on an international mission trip? I am leading a trip of 18-25 year-olds to Haiti January 4-11, 2019 during the typical college holiday break. Clean water is vital to sustain life but many people in Haiti don’t have access to it. We will have an exploratory and informational meeting to learn more this coming Monday, August 6th, at 6:30 pm in room C5. The trip will be with the Water To Life Project and the Methodist Church of Haiti. Participants will be partnering with local churches to bring clean water and education to a rural community. Find out more by visiting us online.
I will be preaching this weekend and am excited to tell you more about our recent mission trip to Rwanda as part of the message. I look forward to seeing all of you in worship!
Grace and Peace,
