A Note From Pastor Shea

A Note From Pastor Shea

Dear First Family,

Summer is officially over. It may not feel like it outside but we’ve entered into a new season. I pray God refreshes and renews your soul. I pray this is a season where you are challenged to remember your baptism and fulfill plans you may have laid aside in previous seasons but know God has called you to complete. Scripture says there is a time for every season. What time is it now for you?

Join us this weekend in worship as Pastor David and I continue our series Where is God? If this is a season for you to take the next step in your faith journey and serve or you’ve been intentionally looking for new opportunities to serve and grow deeper, please be mindful of the following:

It's that time of the year for United Student Ministries Annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser! Please join us after church this Sunday, September 29th at 12:30 pm in the parking lot to unload the 18-wheeler full of pumpkins - big and small! There is fun for the whole family! All ages are welcome! Contact Casey Mallory for more information.

Calling all Health Care Professionals! We want to invite you to learn more about the unique ways you can come together and offer your gifts and skills to bless people in need in our community and our world. For our first gathering, we’ve invited Dr. Darin Charles to share with us how healthcare professionals and other volunteers might serve through the Linda Nix Clinic, which is now part of the Mansfield Mission Center. For more information about this event and ministry opportunities, please email Pastor Sharon

Have you ever wondered why Pastor David shaves his head? Or, do you want to see Pastor Julian do a step routine? Join us with your spouse for a special date night next Friday, October 4th at 6:30 pm in the Loft.  We will have live interviews with Pastor David, Pastor Mike, Pastor Caesar, and their spouses. They will talk to us about what has worked for them, the challenges they've faced, and how God has worked in their relationship. Dinner will be delicious. And childcare will be provided. Space is limited so please register ASAP. The cost is $30 per couple. Go to fmcm.org/couples to register.

For those of you who will be out of town this weekend, I want to encourage you to worship with us and continue your giving online.

I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus this weekend.

Grace and Peace in Christ,
Pastor Shea
