A Note From Pastor Davidby Pastor David Alexander
Dear First Family,
We have an extra special weekend coming up. All of our worship spaces will be decorated with the Mums so many have purchased in honor and memory of Moms for Mother’s Day Weekend. We appreciate our United Methodist Women who coordinate our Mums for Mom and all those whose participation enables us to bless and support Feed the Kids.
If you purchased a mum in honor or memory of your mom, please feel free to bring a mum home with you this weekend.
We will also be having a special celebration at our 11am worship service this Sunday. All other weekend services will be continuing our Greater message series, but at our Traditions service at 11am, we will be honoring Teresa Sherwood who is retiring from our staff after serving our church faithfully for the past 24 years. If you would like to bring a card or note for Teresa, you may bring that to our Atrium at anytime this weekend.
Even if you come to another service over the weekend, I know our celebration of Teresa’s leadership will be a special time that will be a blessing to you as well.
I would love for you to join me for this special time.
If you were unable to attend our Church Conference last Sunday regarding our next steps to expand and enhance our ministry campus, I want to direct to you this post I wrote this week as a summary of the information that was presented and the action taken by our church body. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Finally, we are about a month away from our annual Vacation Bible Camp. We would love for you to help our church bless more than 1000 kids this summer through this great event. You can find more information and register by visiting the VBC page on our website today!
I look forward to seeing you this weekend as we celebrate again the significant blessings that God has placed in our lives!
Grace & Peace,
