A Note From Pastor Davidby Pastor David Alexander
Dear First Family,
I am writing today’s note on Thursday morning. I will be spending the rest of the day working on two messages that I will be sharing this week, including one this evening at our Thursday night Celebrate Recovery service. For those keeping count, this will be the 364th time our Celebrate Recovery community has gathered for worship and I am really honored to hear this week’s message as we celebrate 7 years of faithful ministry for all those who seek Christ’s freedom from life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups.
The other message is the fifth in our six week super series, Talking with God. If you have missed any of the previous weekend messages or the videos we produced for those participating in the associated study, you can find all of that by visiting this link.
Remember our goal for this series is that at it’s conclusion, every person in our church would feel more confident and capable talking with God. We have a few weeks left and I want to encourage you to make every effort to participate in the remaining gatherings with your small group or class and to be present in worship for these last two messages as well.
Additionally, this weekend you will have the chance to pick up a bag to help support the work of our Kairos Prison Ministry. This team is preparing for another weekend event in the prison and a big part of that experience are the cookies we provide as a sign of Christian love to those participants. I want to encourage you to support this vital ministry that is one more expression of our belief in a Big God with a Big ❤️!
Finally today, I want to remind you about the approaching deadline for our February 2018 trip to the Holy Land. If you are still considering being a part of this pilgrimage, the deadline to register with no additional cost is October 10th. We have more than 75 signed up but there are a few spots remaining for this opportunity. For more information, click here.
I look forward to seeing you in worship this weekend as we continue our focus on prayer!
Grace & Peace,
