A Note From Pastor Davidby Pastor David Alexander
Dear First Family,
Like Moses had done before him, as the leader Joshua comes to the end of his life he challenges the people of Israel saying,
“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
These are just a few of the words of scripture on my heart this week as we prepare for the final message of our Together series. This weekend, we are each invited to share our commitment for the plans to expand and enhance our ministry campus that will address our current and future needs.
As best as I can this weekend, I also want to answer for you the question, “What’s next?” and provide a brief overview of the expectations you can have as to how we intend to move forward TOGETHER in the months ahead. I know this information will be valuable to you.
I hope you will make every effort to be present in one of our six worship gatherings this weekend to participate in this significant time of committing together.
If you are traveling for the Thanksgiving holidays, know that you can always return your card by mail or you can share your commitment online by visiting this link.
There are two additional special opportunities that I want you to know about this weekend.
First, we will officially kick off our Angel Tree program to bless individuals and families this Christmas. By visiting our Angel Trees displayed in our Atrium this weekend you can choose to adopt Community Angels, children from Waco Children's Home, Homeless Angels, Nursing Home Angels, and Silver Angels. To support Angel Tree in other ways or for more information, please visit our website.
Also this weekend, Mainstage Classic Theater is offering their Family Fun Christmas featuring all of your favorite Christmas music performed by some incredible local community talent. Showtimes are Saturday, November 17th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, November 18th at 2:00 pm at Willie Pigg Auditorium. MISD students are free and tickets for others can be purchased online or at the door. All MISD students are free at the door.
I look forward to seeing you this weekend as we focus on committing together!
Grace & Peace,
