A Note From Pastor Davidby Pastor David Alexander
Dear First Family,
There are several things I want to lift to your attention today. First, this evening we welcome the King’s Brass for a special concert at 7:00 pm in our Sanctuary. For more than 20 years, this group of Christian professionals from around the United States has performed over one hundred concerts. You will be blessed by this inspirational concert!
This weekend in all of our services we will be celebrating the ministry of Rev. Lauren Christenberryas she prepares for her new role serving as an Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Keller, Texas. There will be a time to write notes of encouragement and enjoy some special treats as we give thanks for Lauren’s ministry. Lauren will also be bringing the message this weekend in all of our services.
I hope you will make every effort to be here this weekend!
If you have been visiting our church and are interested in making a membership commitment to First Methodist Mansfield, I want to invite you to our next Starting Point on Sunday, June 24th at 5:00 p.m. During this gathering you will hear more about the mission and core values that define our church family and what membership is all about.
Finally today I want to celebrate the ministry of Project Transformation. Project Transformation is a leadership development program for adults and youth ages 14 and older who work with at-risk elementary students in the Ft. Worth area. There are serving opportunities for adults and youth to help with the reading program this summer. I want to invite you to be part of this important ministry by joining us for one of our reading days the week of July 9-12 from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm. For questions, please contact Vicky Hale.
In case you haven’t heard, over $2,000 was raised for Project Transformation last week by the campers that attended Vacation Bible Camp along with many, many books!
I look forward to seeing you in worship this weekend!
Grace & Peace,
