A Note From Pastor David

A Note From Pastor David

Dear First Family,

Many were wondering if summer would ever arrive. I think we can safely say that it has definitely arrived! We begin our summer season this weekend with a brand new message series entitled, Summer of Joy and we encourage you to join us in more casual and cool dress during these beautiful (but hot!) Texas summer months! Beginning this weekend, we will have Summer of Joy t-shirts for sale in the Sanctuary Atrium so that you and your whole family can help share your joy this summer. T-shirts are $10 each.

Today I want to remind our Men about the Guys Night Out event that will take place this evening at 6:30 pm in the Loft. You can register at the door tonight and enjoy some great food from Big D BBQ, an inspiring presentation from Gil Stricklin, founder of Marketplace Ministries and a few great giveaways with rounds of golf at Cowboys Golf Club and Barton Creek. Gill is also graciously blessing every man who attends with a free copy of his book, Chaplain.

I hope to see you this evening for a great night focused on helping men live right and lead well!

We are just a few weeks away from Vacation Bible Camp which will take place June 11-14You will notice some of the decorations for this annual event for kids around our campus this weekend. With over 1,000 kids expected, we are still in need of volunteers to help us bless these kids!

To get signed up to help, you can register right now by clicking here.

If you have signed up to volunteer or are planning to in the next few days, set aside the evening of Wednesday, June 6th for an important volunteer training that will begin at 5:30 pm in our gym space. Please email Donnette Plumlee with any questions!

I look forward to seeing you this weekend as we begin our summer message series, Summer of Joy.

I want to challenge you to claim that in your life!

I am praying that in our time together in worship and in each message that is shared this summer, you will be encouraged and equipped to live in the great joy that is available in Christ!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor David
