A Note From Pastor David

A Note From Pastor David

Dear First Family,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We had an incredible Holy Week and a wonderful Easter weekend, none of which would have been possible without the hundreds of unpaid servants who invested in making last week happen. Thank you for your partnership in sharing the gift of Easter.

If you are under the impression we might be taking the weekend after Easter off, that is definitely not the case!

This Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm in our Sanctuary we will have our Confirmation Commitment Service. During this special service, the 70 students who have participated in our spring confirmation class will profess their faith and become full members of our church family. I hope you will make every effort to be there to support and celebrate these young people and this incredible step they are taking in their faith journey!

Speaking of Student Ministries, registration has opened for a whole host of end of the school year and summer events for our students like United Mission Week, High School Youth Week, Middle School Youth Week, Senior Celebration, and Capstone Coastal Mission Trip. For more information or to sign up for any of these events, register on our website or contact Amanda Hardeman.

Vacation Bible Camp registration also opened up this week. VBC will take place June 11-14 and is open to children who have completed PreK-5th grade for the 2017-18 school year. We also have Wee VBC for those volunteers who have children one year and older.

To register to serve and/or sign-up your child, visit the website or for more information contact Andrea Roberts

And finally, we have an event coming up for women and one for men real soon.

IF: Women’s Gathering will take place Saturday, April 14th at 9:00 am in The Loft. Women of all ages are invited to study one of Paul's letters to Timothy where he is reminded of the power and responsibility of sharing the gospel.  Through inspiring speakers, including Jennie Allen, we will gather to remember the importance of trusting in God and recognizing that God moves through the little things that others might not see. Register for this impactful simulcast on the website or contact Leslie Waldson for more information.

All men are invited to our second Guys Night Out Gathering on Friday, April 20th at 6:30 pm. Guys Night Out is all about helping men Live Right and Lead Well and at this gathering, you will get the chance to hear from Gene Schramme on this important theme. $20 will buy you dinner and put your name in the hat for great giveaways and you can register right here or contact me for more information.

Nothing slows down for us after Easter. Lots of exciting stuff coming up and I’m looking forward to sharing a very special message with you this weekend in all our services as well. I hope to see you there!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor David
